Seoul Design Competition
Purposes
■ To propose creative design alternatives to make a better future life for citizens
■ To find and promote talented designers and idea generators at international levels
■ To raise citizens' awareness of design by showcasing innovative design solutions

Theme
■ Theme: Interflow and Consilience
Breaking away from a disciplinary boundary, it welcomes innovative ideas conceived from multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural backgrounds and between different industries, as well as encourages interflow, fusion and consilience in producing and manufacturing processes, aiming to discover a new promising potential and create inventive ideas.
■ Interflow : To flow into each other
■ Consilience : The unity of knowledge
■ Fusion : The merging of different elements into a union

There is no limitation in category, but multidisciplinary approaches to the definition of design solutions are recommended.

Intellectual Property Rights
■ Entrants reserve the copyright in all entry materials
■ The Seoul Metropolitan Government has the right to use the images or
other materials of selected entries for archiving or public relations purposes, not for any commercial use.

Notices
■ All entry materials should be written in English. Submitted materials will not be returned.
■ Joint submissions(group applications) are acceptable, but each group applicant should involve no more than two members.
■ An individual, or group applicant may send in a maximum of two entries.
The following entries are disqualified and, if selected, the selection will be cancelled and their prize money and certificate will be withdrawn.
■ Any entry that has been published previously
■ Entries should be original creations that has been unpublished in both online and offline media for any commercial or non-commercial purpose by the date of the final award announcement on October 15(Scheduled).
■ Any entry that has won an award previously
■ An entry that is considered plagiarized
■ Any entry that is deemed to disturb the public order and standards of decency
■ Any entry that does not abide by submission requirements and standards
■ Any entry that is engaged in legal disputes regarding related localand international laws including patent law, utility model law, design law, trademark and copyright law.
■ In the event a selected entrant fails to make complete submissions in the final judging stage.
■ In the event entry materials submitted for the final judging are clearly of low quality, comparing to the previous ones.
