News - Tenerife Design Festival (TDF).

Tenerife Design Festival (TDF) is an event dedicated to design that will take place from October 19 to October 25, 2009. TDF fuses the current trends of design with the main features of the Canarian identity.

TDF presents design in an innovative way based on three key concepts that will be part of its five areas: local identity, landscape contrast and tourism. These concepts are the starting point for establishing synergies between local factors and international proposals, consolidating design as tool of change and economic stimulus.

During the week, many proposals, interventions, and other activities will be carried out by outstanding designers from different cities around the world, whose work will be based on the island’s natural resources. Thinking about Tenerife through design will turn the island into a point of reference for creativity.

TDF has five distinct areas in which the whole philosophy of the event will be developed: TDFSigno, TDFLab, TDFSolution, TDFAtmósfera and TDFAward.
